Epic Launches S7613 Epoxy for Heavy-Duty Applications
Epic S7613 delivers exceptional thermal performance, durability and reliability for heavy-duty motors, pumps and high-hazard applications.
Palmyra, WI: Epic Resins, an international formulator and manufacturer of specialty epoxy and polyurethane systems, is proud to introduce S7613, a two-component, heat-cure epoxy potting and encapsulating compound. It was engineered to help manufacturers increase equipment durability and performance in extreme temperature, pressure and environmental conditions.
Designed for heavy-duty motors, pumps and high-hazard environments, S7613 enables OEMs to protect sensitive components from heat, pressure, vibration, and chemical exposure. This helps reduce premature failures, unplanned downtime and costly maintenance.
With a glass transition temperature (Tg) above 190°C, S7613 maintains structural integrity where conventional potting materials soften, crack or fail. Its crack-resistant formulation helps components withstand thermal cycling and mechanical stress, extending service life in demanding applications.
“Manufacturers operating in high-temperature and high-pressure environments need materials they can rely on long term,” said Jeff Sodemann, Technical Director at Epic Resins. “S7613 was developed to give OEMs confidence that their equipment will perform reliably—whether it’s submerged, exposed to harsh chemicals, or running continuously at elevated temperatures.”
